Professional Career
Marin Peixe Galego – 2015-16
After going undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft, Javonte Green decided to play overseas. On September 11, 2015, Green signed a one-year deal with the Marin Peixe Galego. Marin Peixe Galego is a basketball club based in Marín, Galicia. Green averaged 18.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.2 steals. When Green played, Marin Peixe Galego had a record of 20-5. Green earned the LEB MVP Award.
Allianz Trieste – 2016-18
Green decided to take his talents to Trieste, Italy, to play for the Allianz Trieste. Green averaged 16.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in his first season and got a 21-9 record while on the team. He spent another season in Italy, averaged 17.7 points and 6.8 rebounds, and this time got a 21-7 record on the Allianz Trieste. Green earned the opportunity to play for the Phoenix Suns Summer League team in 2017.
Ratiopharm Ulm – 2018-19
On July 25, 2018, Green signed to play for the Ratiopharm Ulm. Ratiopharm Ulm is a team located in Ulm, Germany. Green finished the 2018-19 season with averages of 14.0 points and 4.9 rebounds in 33 games. The team went 20-13.
Boston Celtics – 2019-21
In the summer of 2019, Javonte Green got invited to play for the Boston Celtics Summer League team. Green averaged 10.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 5 games. Boston signed Green to a two-way contract for the 2019-20 season. After the 2019 preseason, he officially made the Celtics 2019-20 roster. On October 25, 2019, Green made his first NBA appearance with 5 seconds left in the game in a 112-106 win over the Toronto Raptors. Green averaged 3.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 0.6 steals in 73 games in two seasons with the Boston Celtics.
Chicago Bulls – 2021-Present
On March 25, 2021, Javonte Green was a part of a 3-team trade that sent him, Troy Brown Jr, Daniel Thesis to the Chicago, Luke Kornet and Moritz Wagner to Boston, and Daniel Gafford, Chandler Hutchison to Washington. Green finished the 2020-21 season on the Bulls with averages of 2.6 points and 1.2 rebounds in 16 games. On August 19, 2021, Green signed a 2-year/$3.4 Million to stay in Chicago. In the 2021-22 season, Green averaged 7.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 65 games.
