Professional Career
Chicago Bulls – 2020-Present
On November 19, 2020, Patrick Williams got selected with the 4th pick in the 2020 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. On December 23, 2020, in his NBA debut scored 16 points and got four rebounds in a 124-104 loss against the Atlanta Hawks. On May 15, 2021, Williams scored season-high 24 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 105-91 loss against the Brooklyn Nets. Williams finished his rookie season with averages of 9.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 71 games.
Patrick Williams’ second season got off to a rough start by dislocating his left wrist in the 5th game of the season against the New York Knicks. He got surgery the following day and was out for 4-6 months. But he returned on March 21, 2022, against the Toronto Raptors; he scored 7 points in 19 minutes in a 113-99 win. On April 10, 2022, he scored a career-high 35 points in a 124-120 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. He finished the season with averages of 9.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 17 games. During the 2022 playoffs, Williams averaged 11.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 5 games against the Bucks. Williams scored 20+ points in games 4 and 5. Chicago lost in 5 games against Milwaukee.
