What a fast turnaround with the NBA Finals ending 18 days ago; 11 days ago was the NBA Draft, and now three days away from the first Bulls 2022 NBA2k23 Summer League game. They will play against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, July 8th, ESPN U, at 3 pm CT.
Chicago has been busy during the off-season by adding solid veterans Andre Drummond and Goran Dragic; the Bulls also signed Zach Lavine to a five-year max contract. With their only draft pick in the 2022 NBA draft, the Bulls got Dalen Terry, who will be on the Bulls Summer League roster. Chicago lost their second-round pick due to tampering violations. Quick reminder, Patrick Williams and Ayo Dosunmu will not play in Las Vegas. John Bryant will be the head coach.

Must Watch Guys
Dalen Terry
The number one guy Bulls fan will need to watch starting on Friday will be the 2022 first-round pick, Dalen Terry. Terry had a breakout season at the University of Arizona, averaged 8.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and shot 50.2% from the field in his Sophomore year. He earned Pac-12 All-Defense last season as well. Terry has the potential to be a good two-player, which the Bulls need in the long term. He can create his shot and can guard positions 1 through 3.
Marko Simonovic
Simonovic, the second-round 2020 draft pick by the Bulls, has played in only nine games. He scored only one point in his NBA debut. But Simonovic appeared in 28 games with the Windy City Bulls in the 2021-22 season, averaging 17 points and 9.8 rebounds. He is a 6’11 power forward/center who got up now to 240 pounds and entered the NBA at 215 pounds. He will make some noise, but the question is whether or not he is ready for a bench role on the Bulls next season.

Sleeper Players
Justin Lewis
Lewis, a projected 2nd round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, somehow went undrafted. The 6’7 Marquette forward averaged 16.8 points and 7.9 rebounds in his sophomore season. He earned the Big East Most Improved Player of the Year award and got first-team All-Big East last season. But now Lewis will get the opportunity to prove that Lewis should have had his name called on draft night.
Ethan Thompson
After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft, Oregon State guard Thompson joined the Bulls for the 2021 Summer League. He averaged 8.6 points and 3.2 rebounds. A couple of weeks after the 2021 Summer League, Thompson got signed to a two-way and played in 34 games for the Windy City Bulls. In those 34 games, he improved with averages of 11.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and shot 41.9% from the field. Thompson will look to earn another two-way contract with the Bulls for the 2022-23 season.
