
The Windy City Bulls have officially traded for the returning player rights to Hassani Gravett from Lakeland Magic and a 2022 first-round pick from Capital City Go-Go. Capital City Go-Go will receive the returning player rights to Devon Dotson and a 2023 second-round pick from Lakeland Magic. Lakeland Magic will get the returning player rights to Joel Ayayi from Capital City Go-Go and a second-round selection from Capital City Go-Go.
Who is Hassani Gravett?
Hassani Gravett, a point guard at 6’2, has spent two seasons in the G League before entering the 2019 draft. He helped South Carolina University in his sophomore season reach the Final Four. As a senior, Gravett averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, while shooting 39.9 percent from three and led the Gamecocks with 65 three-pointers. He went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft. But Gravett got signed by the Orlando Magic on August 13, 2019.
On October 26, 2019, Gravett got sent down to play with the Lakeland Magic. In his first G League season with the Magic, he averaged 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.1 steals in 42 games. On January 7, Gravett had his first double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds in a loss to the College Park Skyhawks. After the 2019-20 season, he played for MZT Skopje Aerodrom and averaged 12.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Gravett helped lead the MZT Skopje to win the Macedonian League championship and the 2021 Macedonian Basketball Cup.
On October 28, 2021, Gravett returned to the Lakeland Magic and played better in his second season with the Lakeland Magic. He averaged 13.9 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.6 rebounds in 32 games. A couple of months later, Gravett signed a 10-day contract with the Orlando Magic. In his NBA debut, he got 6 points and three assists in 24 minutes of action in a 115-105 loss to the Miami Heat. His last game of the season with the Magic was against the Chicago Bulls, and he scored 5 points in 13 minutes; Chicago won 102-98.

Don’t forget the Windy City Bulls will receive a 2022 first-round as well in the 3-team trade. The good news is the Windy City Bulls get a first-round pick and a solid point guard. But Chicago traded Devon Dotson, who struggled at the NBA level but played well at the G League level. Gravett will most likely be the starting point for the Windy City Bulls next season.
