The Chicago Bulls have signed guard Carlik Jones to a Two-Way Contract and have waived forward Kostas Antetokounmpo. Jones and Malcolm Hill are now the only Bulls players with Two-Way Contracts. Being on a Two-Way Contract means you can play in the NBA and G League. But they can not play during the NBA Postseason.
Jones, 24, has appeared in five NBA games. After going undrafted in the 2021 draft, he signed a training camp deal with the Dallas Mavericks. That comes after playing with the Mavericks during the 2021 Summer League. He averaged 14.2 points and 3.6 assists in five games.
After training camp, he signed with the Texas Legends, Dallas Mavericks G League Team. With their G League team, Texas Legends, he averaged 20.9 points and 6.8 assists. That landed him a 10-day contract with the Mavericks, but he was limited to three games with the Dallas Mavericks in 2020-21, averaging 0.7 points and one rebound.
On January 1st, 2021, he signed his second 10-day deal, but this time with the Denver Nuggets (2021-22). But he continued to play with the Texas Legends. During the 2022 Summer League, he got the chance to play with the Chicago Bulls. During those five Vegas games, he averaged 11.6 points and 6.2 assists. On October 22nd, he got traded to the Windy City Bulls.

Yes, Carlik Jones has had a massive role in the Windy City Bulls, who currently have a 9-5 record. Jones is averaging 20.9 points, 7.7 assists, and 5.4 rebounds in 14 games. He is shooting 52.9% from the field and 42.4% from three. After 14 games, Jones deserves the two-way contract over Kostas Antetokounmpo. However, Kostas has shown potential averaging 11.7 points and 6.3 rebounds but has revealed why he is not in the NBA. He is not constant from three and takes questionable shots and his interior defense. But he still has lots of time to improve his game. Kostas will get the chance to continue playing, but for now, expect Carlik Jones to have a more significant role on the Windy City Bulls.
